THE HEDON NEWSLETTER Issue 14 is now available to pick up from local shops, pubs and public buildings. The front page of the community newsletter is dedicated to promoting Yorkshire Day in Hedon on Sunday 1st August 2010.
This year the town council are promoting Yorkshire Day which will see a celebration of all things Yorkshire but in unique Hedon style!
The celebrations start in the morning with a colourful procession of Mayors and Civic Dignataries from all over Yorkshire. The parade will be led by the Band of the 150th (Yorkshire) Transport Regiment Royal Logistical Corps and will march from the Town Hall to St Augustine’s Church.
In the evening special celebrations will be held on Market Hill from 6pm with stalls and entertainment and the lighting of the Hedon Beacon as a prelude to a fireworks display.
Hedon, Sunday 1st August is “Yorkshire Day 2010” – Get the date in your diary now!
