HEDON FIRST RESPONDERS are looking for new team members.

Members provide some of their free time to respond to 999 calls and support the Yorkshire Ambulance service. They can give essential support in responding to various health medical emergencies in Hedon, Preston, Paull and Thorgumbald.

Members are trained in Life Support, CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation), Oxygen Therapy and the use of a Defibrillator unit. The first training session this year will be held at Beverley Ambulance station on 27th February 2010 from 9:30pm – 4:00pm.

Community First Responders make a valuable contribution to their communities.  We know that in many medical emergencies the first few minutes are critical.  If effective treatment can be performed within those first minutes, lives can be saved and disability reduced.” Yorkshire Ambulance Service
