The issue of seaside resort regeneration featured in the media a few times last week.

Firstly BBC’s The Apprentice featured a light-hearted approach to the very real problem of Margate’s degeneration as reported by the Telegraph. Then VisitBlackpool launched its J’aime la Tour video which aimed at encouraging French tourists to visit the town. I think this will become a modern advertising classic!

But perhaps the best news during the week was Scarborough winning the award as the most enterprising place in Europe!

The Hedon Blog would be keen to hear what is happening in our local seaside resorts to promote their regeneration.

I’ve chosen the Blackpool video to feature today because I love it! Anyone for ‘Otpot’ – Oui!
