The latest issue of the Hedon Newsletter is available now from local shops, businesses and public buildings in the town. Be sure to pick up a copy .

The Front Page is a call to action by Hedon Mayor Mike Bryan for local residents to fight the proposals to introduce car parking charges in three of the town’s car parks.

Hedon Drama Group appeals for new members – there is a review of their last production “The King’s New Clothes”.

Notice is served of Hedon Town Council’s Annual Town Meeting which takes place at the 317 year old Town Hall, Hedon on Thursday 16th April 2009, 7:00pm – 7:30pm. There will be an opportunity for town residents to attend and raise any issues of interest or concern.

A campaign for a youth club in Hedon is growing with over 1,500 people signing a petition. The Town Council has already allocated some funding to support the employment of youth workers.

A lively report of Inmans Primary School Rock Challenge – dance/drama performance is included.

The benefits of walking are described in some detail and over 350 walk descriptions are available to download at www.walkinginyorkshire.co.uk

For local history buffs there is information about Hedon Park – the town’s race-course which operated in the late 19th/early 20th century.
