Hedon Blog Services

Services TO LOCAL GROUPS AND PEOPLE:

Advertising: In efforts to generate some income to improve what the Hedon Blog and HU12 websites can offer in the area, then some limited advertising opportunities will be available over on HU12. Those who advertise on HU12 will get their sponsorship acknowledged on the Hedon Blog.

Website design: The Hedon Blog and HU12 both use free blogging software that is easy to set-up, design and use. If your group wants its own free-to-operate website, then we might be able to help you. We can help you set up your website and show you how to update it and share your content with others.

The websites are free, but we will charge for a 2-hour session to get it up and running and coach you in using your software. But more than that we will continue to support you for up to 6-months or until you don’t need help anymore.

If you want to find out more, then e-mail hedonblog@gmx.com.

HU12.net under construction

A NEW COMMUNITY WEBSITE for the HU12 post-code community is currently under construction to enhance and develop the services brought to you by the Hedon Blog.

The new site currently at http://hu12net.blogspot.com will eventually (i.e. not yet!) be available at the domain www.hu12.net following its formal launch.

The new HU12 website will be able to bring you many more interactive features not currently available on the Hedon Blog at wordpress.com. Most news stories will eventually be posted daily on the new HU12 website. The Hedon Blog will concentrate on featuring local community events, activities and meetings as these are notified.

The new website will also be able to take adverts from local businesses and service providers which will allow us to generate some income in order to produce more publicity materials and allow us to develop our news gathering operation more effectively.

PLEASE NOTE the site is currently UNDER CONSTRUCTION and will not be available to view at all times and is liable to frequent changes in style and format. However, we are asking Hedon Blog readers to visit the new site and give us your:

  1. opinions on the new site;
  2. notifications of things that don’t work;
  3. views on the type of content you would prefer to see on it ;
  4. preferences for the header picture, theme and colours used on the site – everything can be customised!

If any local businesses or service providers want to get more information on advertising opportunities as it becomes available, then please drop off an e-mail to hedonblog@gmx.com expressing your interest.

Finally, rest assured while the new website is being constructed, the Hedon Blog will continue to provide its usual service of news and information.
