Town Council Street Surgery – Sat 5th May 2012

HEDON TOWN COUNCILLORS hold a Street Surgery in the Market Place on Saturday 5th May 2012 from 10am until 12 noon.

Councillor Di Storr and Councillor Sarah Jordan will be there to answer any questions about the town.

Residents can use the opportunity to raise any matters of local concern directly with the town councillors. Relevant matters can be taken back to the Council for consideration.

Hull Male Voice Choir perform at St Augustine’s

AN EVENING of entertainment is promised when Hull Male Voice Choir perform at St Augustine’s Church in Hedon on Saturday 5th May 2012 conducted by Musical Director Julian Savory and accompanied by Dorcas Leather.

The concert is being organised as part of the Church’s Flower Festival and the proceeds will be split between the Church Restoration Funds and the Coastguard Association.

The concert commences at 7.30pm and there will be something in the Choir’s repetoire for everyone to enjoy!

Tickets (£8 and £4 for under 12s) will be available on the door but for further information call 01482 896343 or Reuben Hird on 01482 656869.

Note: The Choir has a membership of over 50 choristers but always welcomes new members and anyone interested is invited to contact Reuben Hird – come and join in the fun!

Johnny Pat and the Aces – Bopping at the Haven

THE HAVEN ARMS hosts the legendary Johnny Pat with his band the Aces on Saturday 21st April 2012. As old as rock and roll itself, Johnny Pat has been in show business for over 50 years.

Station Rumble Regulars Return for Easter

ON EASTER SATURDAY, 7th April 2012, THE STATION on Souttergate welcomes back regulars THE RUMBLE.

The group made up of Andy, Graham, Kev and Richard play a mixture of music that spans from the 1940′s to the 1970′s with the occasional bit of ‘modern stuff’ thrown in. 

Will start about 9pm, but come in early to avoid any disappointment!

Good Friday Walk of Witness

ON GOOD FRIDAY, 6th April 2012, Christians of all denominations from around the area will process round the Hedon Churches following the cross and recalling the events of Christ’s Passion and Death.

The walk begins at the Catholic Church in Baxtergate at 10.00 a.m. and concludes in the Market Place.

There will be appropriate scripture readings, prayers and hymns at each stop.

“Everyone is welcome to join in as a witness to the saving power of Christ’s death and resurrection.”
