Hedon Town Council have been planning a celebration for the the last 6 months, some ideas are at the planning stage, but a lot has been booked, this will be on Market Hill on Monday 4th June in the early evening, a band, local dance groups, childrens competitions, stalls, competitions, Hedon pubs tug of war, hog roast, childrens rides, the beacon will be lit later then fireworks, further information will follow when confirmed. We intend to give Hedon school children a coin to commemorate the occasion.

As we draw nearer to the celebrations and bank holiday I am interested in what Hedon and it’s residents will be doing on the day. I think it would be a good oppotunity for the town to do something interesting for everybody in the area. I would like to see spaces in the centre of the town, such as Alexander Hall and the various pubs and restaurants used to showcase local bands and Djs aswel as local theatre groups and performers. Such a celebration would be good for the community aswel as being good for the traders of Hedon.

I must apologise for the delay in getting back to you about the grave in Scunthorpe, been working!
I have now managed to visit the grave, and have taken several photos.
I can’t attach photos on this site, so what do you want do about getting the details and or the photos.

Why isn’t the dock road open from Somerden Roundabout to Marfleet roundabout for Ambulances going from Hedon Paul to A&E in Hull?
The detour to A&E via Preston Bilton Holderness Road must be at least half hr.I followed a emergency ambulance who had to turn towards Preston at 1900hrs on the 16th Feb.I spoke to the security gateman at the dock and he would have let the Ambulance go through.Is there a lack of communication with the emergency services.?

As a listed building planning must be applied for, and its also in the Hedon Town Centre Conservation Area. Hedon Town Council are trying to advise property owners to paint signs in traditional colours painted on wood
