THE GREAT WAR 1914-18 and the campaigns in France and Flanders will be the subject of an illustrated talk by Ivor Maw at the Hedon Town Hall on Wednesday 13th August 2014 at 7:30pm.
Admission is £2 (which includes tea/coffee) and tickets can be bought in advance from Hedon Museum. The proceeds from ticket sales will go towards the Hedon Mayor’s charities.
The talk forms part of the commemorative events to mark the centenary of the outbreak of World War 1 which also includes the exhibition “Home & Away – Holderness in the Great War” which takes place at the Hedon Museum.
The talk is being repeated following being delivered first time around on Monday evening 28th July.
For the unfortunate people who suffer with hearing problems, I feel that the venue for this talk is an absolute disaster, Shame really, as I would have thought the subject of the Talk would have been interesting.
