AN UNUSUAL charity event is taking place on Saturday 7th December 2013 and looks likely to bring a smile to lots of faces.

Neil Johnson the organiser explains:

“I’ve set up a fitness treasure hunt for John Moss who is owner and trainer at Fitness Academy Hull. He has kindly allowed me to use his venue to run a small series of challenges from, to raise money for the Brain Tumour CharityAnd the very lovely members of the gym are busy getting into teams to run on the day!

It’s a kind of weird and unusual fusion of a treasure hunt, mini flash mob and fitness challenge! Kind of a pub quiz on legs with a bit of fun lobbed into the mix!

The course will be run/walked from the Fitness Academy gym at the old airport through Hedon and Preston and back. Along the way there will be a quiz to answer as well as hidden treasures to find. In a fun twist, the teams or individuals will have to perform certain physical tasks that range from a couple of press ups to recreating scenes from well-known films. Props may be used! It will be well worth spending some time in the Market Place on the day between 10am and 12pm to see what the teams get up to.

Some of the challenges these teams will face vary from the physical to the absurdly ridiculous 🙂

The onus is on fun with a competitive edge. The course is between 5 and 6 miles depending on how thorough the teams want to be on the day to unlock achievements.

It’s all for the charity so please support us all.

People who want to join in, can contact me at burpeemonster247@gmail.com

Watch out for the teams on Saturday morning 7th December as they visit Hedon and its Market Place. The fitness treasure hunt will set off from the Fitness Academy, Saltend, Hull at about 9:15am. Expect to see the teams arriving in Hedon soon after.

Neil says there are still places left for teams to enter and all are welcome.
