Update on Boundary Changes

Proposed East Hull Constituency incorporating SW Holderness Ward

NEXT WEEK on Tuesday 16th October 2012 the Boundary Commission for England will publish its revised proposals on changing Parliamentary constituency boundaries in England.

Regular readers of this website will know that it has been proposed to include the South West Holderness Ward (Hedon, Preston, Paull, Thorngumbald)  in the East Hull Parliamentary constituency.

A poll run on the Hedon Blog and HU12 Online showed local opposition existed to the proposal:

 Should South West Holderness Ward be included in the Hull East Parliamentary constituency?Yes – 14 votes (13%)

No – 92 votes (87%)

Poll published by HU12 Online (September – December 2011) – 106 participants.

 
The revised proposals will be open for an 8-week consultation period from the 16th October.

The debate has been and will be followed most keenly on HU12 Online – Boundary Commission.
