HEDON GROUP PRACTICE in their latest Patient Newsletter have revealed that an average of FOUR PATIENTS EVERY DAY do not attend their pre-booked appointments.
The Practice is now planning to send patients a text message reminder containing their appointment details when an appointment is booked. A follow-up text message will be sent 48 hours before the appointment is due.
In this way the Practice hopes to reduce the amount of wasted time and resources that occurs because of missed appointments.
A reduction in missed appointments would contribute to shorter waiting times for patients. Please let your Practice know if you cannot keep an appointment!
