CAROL CONCERTS are aplenty at Christmas time in Hedon and area. But one of the most bizarre ‘concerts’ taking place is at The Station pub on the evening of Wednesday 21st December 2011.

The ‘Hedon Singers’ – as they have become known – are a group of regulars at the Souttergate pub who once a year have the urge to sing out in full gusto in praise of Christmas!

The ‘Hedon Singers’ are not normally singers, but they tackle the well-known Carols and medleys with such enthusiasm that spectators stop being spectators and just want to sing along!

Song sheets are provided and customers – if they wish – can join in. And do you know what? People do! It’s as if they are back at school!

The Hedon Blogger is not famous for his baritone; but he can belt out a stirring “Good king wenceslas…” especially after a pint of Worthingtons! But don’t let this put you off!

Truly a remarkable and enjoyable evening!
