Police release image of missing woman’s shoes

POLICE ARE CONTINUING THEIR SEARCH to locate missing 77-year-old Withernsea woman Marlene Wagstaff. They have released images of the shoes it is believed she was wearing when she left her home address.

The shoes, both of a dark brown colour, are not a matching pair and police are asking for people to look out for them, in case Mrs Wagstaff may have lost one.

Police would like to ask people in the Hollym and Holmpton area to check their sheds and out buildings, in case Mrs Wagstaff has taken shelter in one of them.

77-year-old Marlene of Withernsea Road in Withernsea was reported missing on Friday 22 July 2011 and was last seen as she left her home address at around 2pm to go for a walk in the local area.

Mrs Wagstaff or anyone who knows of her current whereabouts or thinks they may have seen her since Friday afternoon is asked to contact Humberside Police on 0845 60 60 222 quoting log 898 22 July 2011.

Charity Fun Day – Preston

PRESTON PLAYING FIELD  at Weghill Road is the location for a Charity Fun Day to be held in the village on Sunday 21st August 2011.

Bouncy castle, face painting, tombola, cakes, penalty shoot out, games, etc, will all be on offer to entertain and delight from 12.30pm -3.30pm. All the profits go to Children in Need.

Public Participation event at Town Council

HEDON TOWN COUNCIL is to hold a Public Participation Meeting for residents at the Town Hall on Thursday, 28th July 2011. The meeting starts at 7.00pm and will last 30 minutes.

This is an opportunity to raise any matters of local interest and concern about Hedon. Anyone living in the town can attend.

Local Hedon town councillors will attend and town Mayor of HedonCouncillor Ann Suggit, will be in the Chair.

Police appeal on missing Withernsea woman

HUMBERSIDE POLICE are asking for help from the public to locate the current whereabouts of a missing woman.

77-year-old Marlene Wagstaff (pictured) of Withernsea Road in Withernsea was reported missing at 9:51pm on Friday 22 July 2011.

Marlene was last seen as she left her home address at around 2pm to go for a walk in the local area. Police are growing concerned for Marlene’s welfare due to her age and she suffers from Alzheimer’s.

Marlene is described as being around 5ft 4 inches tall, with shoulder length grey/black hair, and was wearing spectacles. She was last seen wearing a yellow coloured three-quarter length mackintosh jacket and a blue flowered skirt.

Police are currently searching the local area. The local coastguard and police helicopter are supporting officers in their search.
