THIS LETTER OF APPEAL has been received from Ian Smith on behalf of the Hedon Rangers AFC Committee. It is hoped that local businesses and groups can respond:
Hedon Rangers Football Club was formed in 1982 with the sole purpose of providing boys and girls from the local area with access to organised football and a platform to develop a sporting interest that will last a lifetime. We pride ourselves in having a positive input in the local community with our intention being to make children’s introduction and involvement in the game of football as enjoyable and rewarding as possible.
29 years on from our inception we provide football for over 250 local boys and girls ranging from 7 to 16 years old. We also run open age teams so they can progress onwards when they become adults.
In recent years we have been finding it increasingly difficult to finance such a large operation even with the great number of volunteers for which we are very grateful of. To keep up with FA approved charter standards we must make improvements to almost all aspects of our club. From new changing facilities to coaching courses, from balls and training equipment to new kits and kit sponsorships.
I am writing to you today to ask for your help in cementing the future of Hedon Rangers AFC. All sponsorship, no matter how small, will go a long way to helping the club survive and continue to grow, giving the children of today as well as future generations the chance to be part of community positive organisation. Here’s how you can help:
£25.00 – New match ball or several training balls.
£50.00 – New training equipment or new goal posts/nets.
£100.00 – To assist in ongoing club maintenance (dugouts/pitch treatment/changing facilities)
£250.00 – Annual league affiliation costs and compulsory coaching courses
£500.00+ – Full kit sponsor.
If you choose to help us all details will be published in our tournament programmes and on advertising boards at our home ground every weekend as well as being mentioned in the local press.
