LOOKING TO SHAPE UP FOR THE SUMMER? If so, you can join East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Walking for Health scheme.

Preston Community Hall
The first walk from Preston starts on Wednesday, 6 July at 2pm and will run every Wednesday in July (see Preston Healthy Walking Group).
The walk will last 30 minutes and walkers of all ages and abilities are welcome.
The walk has been organised from Preston Community Hall, Kirk Road, and is led by a fully trained walk leader, Carol Osgerby, who plans exciting routes in the area.
Carol says “I am really excited about starting a new walk in Preston. There are lots of lovely walks in the country side and I can’t wait to explore them.”
Laura Telfer, healthy lifestyles development officer for East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: “Not only are the walks designed to get people back into physical activity but they are a great way to meet new people and discover the East Riding’s natural environment. We are always looking for new people to become involved in leading existing walks or to set up new walks in their area. We provide free training for anyone who wishes to volunteer their time and get involved in a nationally recognised scheme.”
