Police appeal for information – Road traffic collision

POLICE OFFICERS from the East Riding are appealing for information in connection with a road traffic collision that happened close to Johnsons Corner, Thorn Road , Hedon at around 4:10pm on Sunday 20 March 2011.

A 56-year-old man was walking along Thorn Road, approaching Johnsons Corner , when he was allegedly hit on his right arm by the wing mirror of a vehicle.

The man was walking on the path close to the kerb at the time of the incident.

The vehicle is believed to have been a white coloured Transit Van, that continued along New Road towards Kingston Roundabout, after the incident.

Police would like the driver of the vehicle or any witnesses to contact Humberside Police tel 0845 60 60 222.

THE FIRST CAR BOOT SALE of the season starts at Paull sports field on Saturday 2nd April 2011 from 8.00am to 1.oopm.

Gates open at 7:45pm for sellers sites (cost £5).

Car parking is available for the public – 50p.

Hedon Museum – History of the National Census

HEDON MUSEUM opens a new exhibition today on the History of the National Census and the type of information that was collected from and about Holderness over the last 200 years.

The exhibition runs until Wednesday 13th April 2011. The Museum is open 10am – 4pm every Saturday and Wednesday. Free admission.
