THE CULTURAL PARTNERSHIP in the East Riding is holding a photography competition.

The contest Capturing the East Riding starts in October and is an opportunity to take pictures that reveal what the region means to you.

St Augustine's - the most photographed image in Hedon

Now wouldn’t it be good if images from Hedon, Preston or Paull featured amongst the winners!? The area has a rich source of potential images that reveal the history, culture, character, scenery and wildlife of the area.

So how about it? Let’s get snapping! Let’s get some Hedon iconic images to send in!

If you want to send your photos to the Hedon Blog first, then please do so, and we can display them on a special page on the Blog. Send your image (or a link to where the image is i.e. on Flickr, Picasa, Windows, etc) by e-mail to hedonblog@gmx.com along with a little explanation about what the image means to do.

For more information about the photography contest and how your group or organisation might take part, then have a look at the HU12 article from August 26th 2010.
